Richard W. Nutter

Richard served as the Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner for nearly thirty years. During that time he was involved in activities that had impact on local, state and the national agricultural industry including: farm worker safety, agricultural products import and export, development of the package salad industry, farmers markets and the establishment of the state and national organic products regulations.

He served on the boards of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Friends of Moss Landing Marine Lab, the Elkhorn Slough Foundation and currently on the Ag Land Trust and the Soquel Pioneer &Historical Association boards. Additionally he has continued as an agricultural consultant covering domestic and international agricultural.
