Marc Lieberman, M.D.

Dr. Lieberman attended Medical School at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences School in Memphis at age 18. He attended University of Southern California in Los Angeles for a medical internship after which he was drafted into the Army as a captain and stationed in San Antonio. He returned to USC for his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology. Upon completion of his fellowship he became a member of the Arthritis Foundation’s Scientific Committee and then a founding fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.

He and his wife moved to the Monterey area in 1976 where he started his own medical practice. He was the first rheumatologist in Monterey County and was a member of the board of the Arthritis Foundation in Monterey in the 70s. Marc continues his active practice, is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at UCSF, and teaches rheumatology to family practice residents at Natividad Medical Center. He serves on ARC’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
